Tuition Assistance
Version 1.1
Employer-Provided Tuition Assistance
Employers pay the tuition and other costs for most students in the SANS Technology Institute's Master's Degree Program. When the student registers for a course/certification, employers may pay directly through check or credit card. Or, the student and employer may work out their own arrangements.
Financial Aid / Scholarships
Employers pay for the tuition and other costs for most students in the Program. At the present time, SANS Technology Institute does not have a scholarship or financial aid program available. However, the Work Study Program discussed below, can lessen the cost of tuition.
Work Study
The SANS Work Study Program lessens the cost of the tuition. In fact, Master's students of SANS Technology Institute are required to participate as a Facilitator in the Work Study Program at their First Residential Institute as one of their Community Project Requirements. Students should let the SANS Work Study Coordinator know that they are a Master's student at SANS Technology Institute when they apply for Work Study. The Work Study Program is further described here: http://www.sans.org/training/volunteer.php. If a Master's student needs financial aid, they also can apply to be a facilitator at other SANS Residential Institutes/Conferences. Reasonable effort is made to give Master's students, who need financial assistance, priority in the Work Study Program.
