Below, you'll find a curated list of scholarship opportunities offered by external organizations. Each opportunity has its own eligibility criteria and application process —review the details to find your best fit.
These scholarships are administered by the sponsoring organizations, so students must apply directly to each organization. SANS.edu does not participate in evaluating or awarding these scholarships.

Scholarship opportunities include:
WOMEN IN ENGINEERING EMPOWERMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $2,000
- Women studying for their bachelor’s or master’s degrees
ESET WOMEN IN CYBERSECURITY
- Amount: $10,000
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- For undergraduate and graduate students
NATIONAL SPACE CLUB AND FOUNDATION KEYNOTE SCHOLARS PROGRAM
- Amount: $20,000
- Opportunity to deliver the keynote speech at the 2025 Goddard Memorial Dinner
- Travel and lodging for the recipient and one guest are covered
- Recognition at one of the most prestigious gatherings in the space industry
- Scholarship check paid directly to the recipient’s college or university
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
SCARLETT FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
- TN Residents Only
- Amount: varies based on financial need
- Demonstrate financial need via a 1040 tax return, must be a graduate from a high school in Middle Tennessee
- Open to students pursuing Business or STEM degrees
- Scholarship amounts vary based on financial need
- Must be a sophomore or junior
- Applications open from September 15 to December 15 annually
JAY HOLSTINE SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $1,000
- Demonstrate economic need in the effort to complete education. Submit an original essay (700-850 words).
UMSA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be resident of IA, ND, SD, MN, WI
- Amount: $3,000
- Requirements: Grad or undergrad program in cybersecurity
WOMEN IN DEFENSE SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $5,000
- Women enrolled either full-time or part-time, at least an incoming junior undergraduate and demonstrate interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense.
- GPA of 3.25
- Must be a U.S. citizen
STEM MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
- Amount: $5,000
- Enrolled as a sophomore or junior full-time in a four-year college, undergraduate program
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
VCISO CYBERSECURITY SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $1,000
- Open to graduate or undergraduate programs, full-time students in the U.S.

The Center for Cyber Safety and Education, the charitable foundation of ISC2, provides multiple scholarships to support students in cybersecurity programs. These awards are paid directly to SANS.edu if you are selected.
Scholarship opportunities include:
ISC2 UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity
- 3.3 GPA or higher
- You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required)
ISC2 GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
- Master's degreein Cyber
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required)
ISC2 WOMEN’S SCHOLARSHIPS
- Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
- Master's degreein Cybersecurity
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required)
SAMANTHA JENNINGS-JONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
- Amount: $5,000
- Women pursuing undergraduate cybersecurity degree (sophomore, junior, senior) or graduate student
- 3.2 GPA or higher
- Must be a US citizen attending a US college
- Open to full-time and part-time students
NIGHTWING UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS IN CYBERSECURITY
- Amount: $10,000
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must belong to a historically underrepresented group in cybersecurity – including but not limited to women, Black, Native American, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, persons with disabilities
- May be male, female, or nonbinary: women applicants are not required to belong to an ethnic or racial minority group
- May be an undergraduate or graduate student
- GPA of 3.30 or higher
