Not ready for a full program? Test drive the SANS.edu experience by taking up to 2 courses without being enrolled in a certificate or degree program. Single course students must complete all course requirements, including the GIAC certification exam, within a three-month term.

Single Course Tuition

Tuition for a single course taken as a non-degree seeking student can be found on our Tuition and Funding page. The rate includes the SANS training, books and materials, and the associated GIAC exam.

As the SANS Technology Institute is regionally accredited, corporate tuition assistance plans may cover courses. We strongly suggest reviewing your employer's tuition reimbursement requirements prior to enrolling.

Enrolling in a Single Course

To enroll in a course as a non-degree student, students must meet the requirements for English language proficiency and complete the following steps:

1. Choose the course you would like to take from this list.

2. Complete an online application and once accepted confirm your admission. Admissions decisions are issued on the 15th of the month for all requests that are submitted by the 13th of that month. If you submit an application on the 14th of the month or later, you will receive a decision the following month on the 15th.

Note: If you intend to take an in-person course, please apply 90 days before the start of the in-person event to reserve your seat.

3. Complete new student orientation and meet with your student advisor. Your student advisor will confirm the course you wish to take, discuss instructions for registration, and tuition payment for the course.

4. Register and pay using the specific link that your student advisor sends you via email. Failure to register at this link may disqualify the course for your employer’s tuition benefits.
