STEP 2: Determine your Noblis funding option.

Who is eligible? | All full-time employees are eligible to use their tuition assistance benefits with SANS Technology Institute (SANS.edu) courses and programs. Interested employees should apply directly via SANS.edu. After admission, employees enroll and pay tuition costs upfront. After completing each course, the employee is responsible for submitting their transcript, receipt, and other required documentation to Noblis according to the Noblis Education Assistance Procedure. Please read this document prior to enrolling. Contact noblis-ea@noblis.org for more information on Noblis’ Education Assistance Program. | Noblis cohort programs are designed to give employees a pathway to deepen their knowledge and skills with support from a peer community. Employees selected for the cohort program receive additional development and opportunities to apply learning internally. To be eligible, employees must be full-time, employed with Noblis for at least 1 year, earn a qualifying score on their SANS aptitude assessment, and have development goals aligned to program outcomes. Final selection is based on assessment score, approval from company leadership, available funding, and SANS program admission. Employees can express interest and request to take the aptitude assessment through an internal form made available each fall. What is covered? | Noblis Education Assistance will reimburse employees up to $10K annually for tuition and fees. This can be applied to individual courses or degree programs at accredited US colleges or universities. Employees can apply this benefit to any SANS.edu program. | Noblis will cover all tuition and fees, up to 40 hours of live class time per course, and one exam retake. STEP 3: Apply online.

Note: If you intend to take an in-person course, we require students to apply 90 days before the start of the in-person event, to allow for time to get registered at a live event
STEP 4: Confirm your admission. Complete New Student Orientation.
- Students are notified of admissions decisions by email.
- If admitted, you will be prompted to accept your offer of admission and instructed to register for and participate in New Student Orientation, which begins the first of every month.
- Following New Student Orientation, you will be meet with your dedicated student advisor.
STEP 5: Meet with your student advisor.
Please do not register for your course until the Office of Admissions has confirmed your admission to the SANS Technology Institute and you have completed New Student Orientation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the course being ineligible for tuition reimbursement or voucher use.
STEP 6: Register and pay for your course.

- Cyber Cohort participants: Register through your advisor to ensure their courses are aligned to the Noblis Voucher account. Attempting to register on your own will generate an invoice directed to you.
- Tuition Assistance participants: Register through your advisor and then follow the reimbursement instructions for Noblis employees.
STEP 7: Complete your course.
After you have successfully completed your course(s), your advisor will send you a grade report that lists the payment date, amount, and general payment method (e.g., "credit card").
If you are utilizing tuition assistance, you are responsible for submitting your transcript, receipt, and any required documents to Noblis, following the Noblis Education Assistance Procedure. All employees must follow their internal company process to receive tuition reimbursement.

Important Notes Regarding Enrollment with SANS.edu
- The SANS Technology Institute (www.sans.edu) is a regionally accredited educational institution and our courses are eligible for tuition reimbursement, while SANS Institute (www.sans.org) training classes are not eligible.
- Your registration and payment should be made at least 7 days prior to your preferred course term start date in order to allow time for processing and mailing of textbooks.
- Students must pass the associated GIAC exam within the specified course timeline in order to pass the class. If the student does not pass the exam on his/her first attempt, they will need to purchase a re-take exam out of pocket.
